Uncle "Bubba"

So my mom is flying to Texas in the morning to be with our family. My uncle, her only brother has been in ICU the last 2 days from psoriasis of the liver. The doctors says they have done all they can do. He is bleeding internally and they've bound it in his chest but if it leaks into his esophagus he's gone. I know he is in God's hands and I pray so deeply that he will hold on until my mom gets there to say good-bye. I want to be there so badly. I hope he knows how much I love him. My proud uncle just this past July 4th with his youngest son Joshua.

He turned 49 July 1st. This makes him the same age as my "nanny" his mom was when she lost her battle to cancer.

Please God, hear this prayer...Make him hang on until all his sister are together with his daddy & sons to say good-bye.

Captain Phil Harris

For days my heart has been heavy for Josh & Jake Harris and the Cornelia Marie crew. And tonight was the dreaded night of the final farewell. I cried like a baby. Thank God I was home with just the pets although by boyfriend did call a few times to check up on me. LOL

I applaud The Discovery Channel for honoring Capt Phil in such a beautiful manner. I loved the New Orleans parade. I will never forget Capt Phil. What a rare, genuine, loving man. God Bless the Harris boys as they carry on their father's legacy.

Earthquake 5.4

Shook my house like crazy! Pismo & Duke Duke barked like crazy!

Anyone else feel it?

I must admit that although I hate earthquakes I do get a rush of energy after things are settled. Glad no one was hurt!

4th of July weekend

• I hope everyone celebrated America's birthday with a splash! I decided to go camping up in Bishop with my boyfriend and our 3 dogs. We rented a boat one day, relaxed on beautiful Lake Sabrina and caught our dinner :) LIFE IS GOOD!

• The animals all did so great, we had the perfect camping spot and they didn't bark too much.

• Our food was amazing! I should start blogging some recipes, maybe another day. The pork chops were to die for but then again was the trout!

• We had beautiful fresh wild flowers every day...a girl could get used to this! Here are a couple pics from this trip. Simply gorgeous, so much so we stayed an extra day.
